Osogbo-South LCDA Matter: A call for Adequate Security for Osun Lawmakers’ Emergency Sitting
The Nigeria Police Force should please provide adequate security at the state of Osun House of Assembly Complex, Abere for the emergency sitting of the lawmakers on the controversy surrounding the reversed impeachment of Hon Akeem Olaoye, Chairman, Osogbo-South Local Council Development Authority.
This call became imperative in view of the desperation by the compromised parliamentarians and their sponsors to ensure that the House of Assembly is unable to save the Chairman from the illegal impeachment.
Since the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon Timothy Owoeye announced that the legislative arm of government would have emergency sitting on the matter tomorrow, Friday 28th of December, the parliamentarians and their sponsors have been feeling uncomfortable and expressing fear that the House will right the wrong and give justice to Hon Akeem Olaoye.
These desperate politicians have thugs that they had instructed to harass Hon Akeem Olaoye whenever he comes near to the office before the emergence sitting of the House of Assembly was announced today.
Our fear is that the desperate politicians are also capable of mobilizing thugs to the House of Assembly tomorrow, either to harass Hon Akeem Olaoye or disrupt the sitting of the lawmakers, and if that happens they will seize the opportunity to forcefully takeover the local government.
The desperate politicians have rolled out money for some idle youths to be attacking the Hon Speaker on social media for the emergency sitting.
This suggests that they are capable of doing the unthinkable.
We call on the security agents in the state to be at alert and provide adequate security for tomorrow’s sitting of the House of Assembly. God is always on the side of the righteous.
However, we want to remind the evil planers that nobody has the monopoly of violence. They should know better!
