Osogbo South LCDA: Status Quo Ante Remains…Owoeye

Speaker, State of Osun House of Assembly, Right Homourable Timothy Owoeye, said the State Parliament had stood down the decision of Osogbo LCDA to impeach its chairman, Hon AbdulHakeem Olaoye.

Contributing to a program on Rave FM, the Speaker hinted that the State legislators had dabbled in the matter and would make their decisions known after investigations have been concluded.

The LCDA parliamentarians had accused the Chairman of not attending meetings. They said the Council held meetings 11 times in the year ending.

Hon AbdulHakeem Olaoye however clarified that the Council’s administration had resolved that the meeting would be holding twice a week, explaining that from January to December, there ought to have been 96 meetings. He queried why the Parliamentarians were concerned about 11.

The Chairman made it known that he had no apology to belong to SRJ Political Dynasty, an alignment which the parliamentarians are not comfortable with.

Olaoye disclosed that their decision to remove him is politically motivated.
