Khalid Balogun, Esq., has described Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as a โliberatorโ who successfully defeated the formidable political structures of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nigeria
According to Khalid, the outcome of the election demonstrated the resilience and determination of the people of Osun State to exercise their democratic rights despite what he described as the massive mobilisation of APC leaders and political heavyweights into the state.
He alleged that the election was characterised by alleged vote-buying involving huge sums of money, intimidation and what he described as compromises within the security architecture. Despite these challenges, he said, Governor Adeleke emerged victorious through the overwhelming support of the people.
โGovernor Ademola Adeleke has demonstrated that the people can overcome even the most formidable political structures when they are determined to defend their mandate.
โDespite the deployment of political heavyweights, enormous financial resources and other pressures, the people of Osun stood their ground. Their votes prevailed.
โFor me, Adeleke represents liberation from the politics of intimidation and political domination. His victory is a victory for the ordinary people of Osun who insisted that their voices must count,โ Khalid stated.
He further called on political actors to respect the will of the electorate and ensure that future elections in Osun State are conducted in an atmosphere of fairness, transparency and strict adherence to democratic principles.
Khalid congratulated Governor Adeleke and the people of Osun State, urging the governor to regard the victory as a renewed mandate to continue delivering good governance and serving the interests of the people
