The attention of the Osun State African Democratic Congress, ADC Gubernatorial Campaign Council has been drawn to a deliberate and malicious rumour being circulated by political merchants that our candidate, Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam is secretly working โhand in handโ with the Accord Party candidate, Sen. Ademola Adeleke ahead of the Osun Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, 15th August 2026.
We categorically debunk this falsehood in the strongest possible terms.
Let it be placed on record that the ADC is not in any alliance with the Accord Party or any other political party. Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam is the duly elected candidate of the ADC and he is in this race independently with a clear mandate to rescue Osun and restore people-centered governance.
This rumour is nothing but the last manipulation strategy of a party who is gripped with fear while at the same time scared of the massive acceptance the ADC is enjoying across the 30 Local Government Areas.
Unable to match our ideas, our structure and our connection with the people, they have resorted to propaganda and deception aimed at confusing the public.
Our principles are not for sale. The ADC stands for integrity, accountability, and service, and we will not mortgage the future of Osun people on the altar of secret deals and backdoor agreements. The people deserve a real alternative, and that alternative is ADC.
We therefore urge all ADC members, supporters, and the good people of Osun State to disregard this cheap propaganda and not be distracted. The facts are simple: Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam is on the ballot, ADC is on the ballot, and ADC is campaigning to win on Saturday, 15th August 2026.
We call on INEC, security agencies, the media and the general public to help us stop the spread of this disinformation aimed at voter suppression and confusion. Osun deserves the best better and the best is ADC.
Signed;
Hon.Nurein Adebisi
Spokesperson; ADC- GCC.
