SCHOOLS REOPENING: OSUN 21-MAN FOOD & RELIEF COMMITTEE DONATES 50,000 FACE MASKS

The Osun State 21-man Food and Relief Committee has donated 50,000 face masks to the State Government, as support for the partial reopening of schools to students in exit classes.

This followed the announcement by the State Government in line with the decision of the Federal Government, that students in exit classes should resume with effect from August 6, 2020, to afford them a two-week preparatory period for the West African Examination Council (WAEC), which commences August 17, 2020.

The Commissioner for Education , Hon Folorunsho Oladoyin, on behalf of the government, appreciated the Committee for the timely support towards the reopening, promising that the materials would be distributed among teachers and students across the 188 schools that will be reopening.

Oladoyin described the gesture as another stimulus for parents, who according to the reopening guidelines were expected to provide face masks for their children and wards.
