Osun: Obiremi congratulates newly inaugurated 8th Assembly members, urges them to work together

A Frontline Chairmanship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Egbedore Local Government, Osun State, Honourable Okun Obiremi, has congratulated the newly inaugurated members of the state House of assembly, as they take oath of office.

Obiremi, a former ranking member of the house, specifically rejoiced with the new PDP lawmaker (after 12 years) from Egbedore Local Government, Rotimi Ogunrinade, expressing confidence that he’ll deliver on the mandate given to him by the people of the local government.

The leading contender for Egbedore top job, in a statement made available to Newsmen on Tuesday charged the new legislators to form a formidable force with the Executive arm of government led by his excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in order to deliver the much expected dividends of democracy to the people of Osun state.

According to him, the expectations of the people from the elected officers are high; hence they must work together to attract better dividends of democracy to the people and give them a sense of belonging.

While urging the lawmakers to be exemplary in their conducts, he stressed on the need for the Assembly members to strive to put the people first in all what they do and make a difference in their respective State Constituencies.
