OSUN ASSEMBLY PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON UNIOSUN MANAGEMENT.

The State of Osun House of Assembly has passed vote of confidence on the management of Osun State University (UNIOSUN) for effective service.
The Chairman House Committee on Finance and Appropriation and Education Hon Taiwo Adebayo and Hon. John Babatunde Ibirogba made this known today during the continuation of the year 2021 budget defence exercise at the hallow chamber of Osun Assembly complex Osogbo.
The duo commended the management on infrastructure development on ground at the various campus of the University. They applauded the management for lifting the state university from where it used to be.
The committees also praised the Vice Chancellor Professor Labo Popoola on his zero tolerance for corruption in the University. They advised the management to remain focused and keep the flag flying on his previous achievements in the great institution.
In his response, the Commissioner for Education Hon Folorunso Oladoyin who was represented by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Mr. Jamiu Olawumi observed that the tertiary institutions in the state needs more hand in other to be elevated.
He promised that the ministry of Education will improve on their activities at all levels of learning in the state.
He also solicited for cooperation and assistance from the house committee and state assembly at large.
The parastaltas under the ministry of education that appeared for budget defense today are; Osun State College of Technology, Esa -Oke , Osun State College of Education, Ila- Orangun , Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Osun State College of Education, Ilesa, and UNIOSUN.
Appearing tomorrow for their budget defense are; Osun Central Education District Office, Ila- Orangun, Osun east Education District Office, Ile-ife , Osun West Education District Office, Ikire and Board for Technical and Vocational Education at 10am .
