There was a fire incidence in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, at the popular Ìrémo street.
It affected about 6shops (Why Worry Enterprises, saloon, paint, tailoring and canteen) and the impact was massive, as it was not noticed early enough, but thank God, no life was lost, as the Chairman of Ife Central Local Government Area, Hon. Elugbaju Olayera was able to galvanised the State Fire Service Officers on time. Though, the cost of damage cannot be ascertained for now, the Chairman kindly advise that, all indigenes must ensure they switch off all electrical appliances anytime it’s not in use.
