The Rabitoh of Sheikh Adam Abdullah Al-Ilory is not merely a title; it is an ideology rooted in the struggle for Islamic revival, reform, and the advancement of the Muslim Ummah. It represents a vision of service, unity, scholarship, and leadership that extends far beyond honorary positions.
Our revered elders (Babas) in the Rฤbiแนญah have made remarkable sacrifices and achieved significant milestones in promoting Islam in Yorubaland. Their efforts deserve our utmost respect, appreciation, and continued support.
However, the contemporary challenges confronting Muslims in Yorubaland require renewed energy, fresh ideas, and a collective approach. It is in this spirit that the newly established League of Imams and Alfas has emerged, not to compete with or replace our elders, but to complement their efforts and strengthen the work they have begun.
We are their sons, not their rivals. Our mission is to support them, build upon their legacy, and work together for the progress, unity, and development of the Muslim Ummah.
With today’s inauguration, Saturday, 27 June 2026, we believe a new chapter has begun for Islam in Yorubaland. The League was established to assist our respected elders in addressing the evolving challenges facing Muslims across Yorubaland and to contribute meaningfully to the overall growth and progress of the Ummah.
Together, with mutual respect, wisdom, and unity of purpose, we can strengthen the foundations laid by our fathers and ensure a brighter future for Islam in Yorubaland.
