Preaches adherence to NCDC protocols in the fight against Covid-19

Great Ife Alumni Association Osogbo Branch has felicitated with members who are adherents of Islam and the entire Muslim Ummah in the state on the celebration of this year’s Eid-El-Kabir.

In a statement jointly signed by the Branch Chairman, Barr. Leye B. Falode and Secretary, Mr. Oluwamayowa A. Fagbohungbe, Great Ife Alumni Association, Osogbo Branch wishes all Muslims and particularly members who are Islamic worshippers a joyous and peaceful celebration.

While urging Muslims to celebrate with modesty and caution, the release also enjoined them to adhere strictly to all the safety protocols with respect to Covid-19 pandemic prevention as rolled out by the Nigerian Center For Disease Control (NCDC) such as; consistent use of face masks, social distancing, regular washing of hands with soap in addition to alcohol laden hand sanitizers, avoidance of all manners of gatherings, and proper hygiene.

The release urged members to take self responsibility in the fight against Covid-19, stressing that there is strong possibility of community transmission of the viral infection, hence the need for all hands to be on deck to flatten the curve.

The statement which prayed that Covid-19 becomes a thing of the past in our land soon, assured members that our monthly meetings and other activities will commence as soon as the coast gets clearer.
