𝗛𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶 𝘀𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘇𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀.

The ADC house of representative candidate for Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro in the coming general election in Osun state has expressed his sadness over floods that ravaged the people of Ila/Ifedayo/Boluwaduro and damaged properties in last Tuesday. In a release personally signed by Hon Akinlabi and made available to newsmen, Hon Akinlabi sympathized with his people. The statement reads in part 👇I am expressing deep sadness, heartfelt sympathy, and solidarity with residents and families across the constituency affected by the heavy rainfall and flooding recorded on Tuesday, September 15, and Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The prolonged and torrential downpour resulted in flooding in several communities, leaving homes submerged, properties damaged, and many families faced unexpected losses. Beyond the physical damage, the incident has brought pain, anxiety, and uncertainty to households that are now confronted with the difficult task of recovering and rebuilding.

It is of a great concern for me for every family affected by the flooding, noting that the pain of watching one’s home, belongings, and hard-earned possessions damaged by floodwaters is one that cannot be easily described.

My heart goes out to every family and individual whose home, property, or livelihood has been affected by this unfortunate incident. I understand that behind every damaged property is a story of sacrifice, hard work, and years of effort. At a time like this, our people need compassion, encouragement, and solidarity

My deepest sympathies to those who suffered losses and urged affected residents not to lose hope, assuring them that difficult moments such as this can be overcome through faith, unity, and collective support.

The suffering of any member of the constituency is a concern for everyone, stressing the importance of standing together in times of hardship.

When our people hurt, we all hurt. When one community is affected, the entire constituency feels the pain. This is not a time for indifference; it is a time to stand together, support one another, and remind those affected that they are not alone.

I pray for the continued protection of the people of Boluwaduro, Ila, and Ifedayo, asking Almighty God to prevent further calamities and grant affected families the strength, resources, and support needed to recover from their losses.

I am using this moment encourage residents to remain vigilant during periods of heavy rainfall, particularly those living in flood-prone areas, and to take necessary precautions to protect lives and property.

I am reaffirming my commitment to the wellbeing, safety, and development of the people of Boluwaduro/Ila/Ifedayo Federal Constituency.

I am calling on well-meaning individuals, community leaders, organisations, and relevant authorities to show compassion and support to families affected by the flooding, stressing that in moments of adversity, the true strength of a community is reflected in how its people stand together.
