State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Prince Gboyega Famodun, has described the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as a meticulous political talent hunter whose leadership roles in the South-West in particular and the nation in general can be likened to that of the late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo.

Prince Famodun who made this remark through his Media Consultant, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo today said, it would not be an overstatement to state that the enthronement of the APC-led administration in all but one state in the South-Western states today was due to political dexterity, sagacity and exceptional leadership quality of the former Lagos State governor.

He said, it was not by accident of history that those who attended Tinubu’s School of Progressive Politics are today making waves in various capacities at the national level.

The Igbajo-born prince hinted that his analytical study of the man, Tinubu, showed that after God, the glory of liberation of the South-West from the jigsaw of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which was foisted on all the South-West states except Lagos by former President Olusegun Obasanjo in 2003 should go to the national leader of the APC.

Famodun also noted that it was when Tinubu joined force with President Mohammed Buhari that he (Buhari) was able to realise his protracted ambition of presiding over the democratic affairs of this country.

He stated that “though it is on record that Jesus Christ who was hated by some people when he was in this life like a human being was later loved and adored by his critics, it won’t be an hyperbolic statement to state that Tinubu’s critics of today will later discover his sterling qualities in the polity and politics of this nation.

“Here is a man who has been using his God-given resources to ensure the emancipation of the downtrodden masses from the oppresive jackboots of the reactionary politicians.

“I don’t know if it is too long for discerning minds to remember that it was Lagos State under ex-Governor Tinubu that was the only state that remained standing during the reactionary political tsunami that blew over the South-West in 2003”, he recalled.

The state party chairman disclosed that the political opponents of Tinubu are aware of his uncommon political endowment but merely choose to play politics with it in order to be seen to be playing opposition role.

Famodun however, has a word for the graduates of Tinubu Political School of Progressive Politics to emulate the good virtues of the national leader of the APC by equally engaging in political talent hunting with a view to perpetuating progressive government in the South-West.

In the party chairman’s words:  “It is necessary for the political beneficiaries of Asiwaju Tinubu who are occupying exalted positions both at the state and national levels to always think and effect grooming of worthy political leaders who will take the leadership batons from them when it is desirable.

“It is by so doing that these lucky political beneficiaries of Tinubu Political School can be seen to be complementing the efforts of the political oracle that it has pleased God to give to us in Yorubaland at this point in time”, he stated.
