Osun Speaker berates National Assembly for their Show of Shame
The Speaker of the State of Osun, Rt. Hon. Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam has berated the national assembly for their shameful conduct in the last 2019 budget presentation by President Muhammed Buhari.
The Osun State speaker made this known while giving his opening remarks today at the 2019 budget presentation by the new governor of the state, Mr. Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola held at the hallowed chamber of the state of Osun House of assembly complex.
Najeem Salam said the national assembly should be an example to lower chambers across the thirty six states of the federation but concluded that they have failed in that responsibility.
He however lauded his colleagues including those in opposition party for their mature conduct and sense of respect for values and peace coexistence.
You will recall that on the 19th December, 2018 while President Muhammadu Buhari was presenting the 2019 appropriation bill, there was disquiet in the red chamber throughout the budget presentation such that national assembly members were divided across party lines.
