Osun NPC federal commissioner welcomes participants in Ekiti, Ondo and Osun.

Yesterday, the Honourable Federal Commissioner for National Population Commission representing Osun State in Abuja, Distinguished Sen. Mudashiru Husain with his counterparts from Ondo State, Dr. Iyantan Oladoran and Hon. Ajayi Ayodeji from Ekiti State jointly welcomed the participants to Osogbo Zonal South West Training of Principal Trainers for the Digital 2023 Population and Housing Census at St. Global Leaders Academy, Plot 1 A&B Oroki ESTATE, AKOL Building Lameko Roundabout, Osogbo, Osun State.

The training is designed to equip the zonal officers with necessary knowledge and skills to productively participate in the conduct of the 2023 Census.

And, it should be noted that the 2023 Population and Housing Census (PHC) will be the first fully digital census in Nigeria, and it is important that the workforce to be employed is adequately equipped with the necessary skills needed for the responsibilities that will be assigned.

Moreover, the objectives of this Training of the Trainers (TOT) Workshop is to prepare the top-level trainers for a standardized census training; adequately teach the concepts and definitions for the 2023 PHC; To provide clear guidelines for the field enumeration procedures for the PHC; To provide robust instructions on the use of the census data collection applications and; To provide first-hand guides for the census field operation.

Among the entourages of Osun State NPC Federal Commissioner were Hon. Lakaz Yusuf, Hon. Yusuf Tajudeen Pablo, Deacon Bello, Hon. Akintoyese Demola and others.
