Omisore Slams Sahara Reporters Over Linking Him To N650m Osun Road Contract Scam, Threatens Legal Action

A former Deputy governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore on Tuesday debunked knowledge or his alleged involvement in the purported .N650million Osun road contract .
Senator Omisore in a statement personally signed by him made available to journalists asked Sahara Reporters, publisher of the said story ” to immediately retract it and apologize to him or risk facing legal action
The former Deputy governor described the Sahara Reporters story on the said contract as ” total falsehood and clear attempt to smear his image “, saying the said company was not known to him not to talk of having any link with the said company.
My attention has been drawn to a total falsehood published by the Sahara Reporters on the purported N650million Ife – Ifewara road contract in Osun state . I wish to state categorically that I don’t know anything about the said contract “, he said.
The former Deputy governor added, “I don’t know the company, I don’t know the Chairman? Didn’t benefit one penny So, how can a pastor be wreckless liar accusing me of what I don’t know anything about. Let the said Pastor Niyi Adebanjo bring his blackmailing proof”.
Stressing that it was unfortunate that Sahara Reporters intentional ignored the clarifications by the Works Minister, Mr Raji Fashola on the said contract,” Senator Omisore said Sahara Reporters still went ahead ” only to be quoting a “source” just to achieve its blackmailing mission.”.
The former Deputy governor emphasized that the said story should be disregarded as it was one of the antics of those whose trade in stock has been spreading fake news, wicked lies and blackmailing fellow human being to achieve their selfish ambition as well as score cheap political point not minding the integrity and names of others.ENDS.
