INMT commends Oyetola’s prudent steps despite paucity of funds to tackle Covid-19 cases in Osun.
The Ilerioluwa new media team has commended the governor of the state of Osun, Mr. Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola for his proactive measure in curbing COVID 19 in the state despite shortage of funds.
The group in their release by the Coordinator, Mr. Opeyemi Popoola said the governor of the state has done wonderfully well in managing the outbreak of the pandemic despite not getting any financial support from the federal government till date as palliative to assist in the fight against COVID 19.
During the outbreak, the state government had set up isolation centres in major towns across the state and as well procured seven ventilator {machines} in case of critical situations and emergency.
Furthermore, the state government had also in her quest to fight against the pandemic provided relief packages to the citizens of the state by distribution over 6000 bags of rice to the vulnerable in the state.
It is also worthy to appreciate the efforts of His Excellency and his formidable team for taking the right steps at the right time to ensure the prompt payment of full salaries to the civil servants and all the political functionaries thus helping them to stock up their homes before the total lockdown. All these and many more were done by the governor without borrowing a penny from any bank in the world.
The group through their Coordinator also commended the members of the welfare committee set up by the Governor to see to the distribution of palliative goods contributed by individuals and cooperate bodies to help the state during this world challenge, and urge them to speed up their intervention efforts.
