Former Ede North LCDA Chairman, Hon. Uthman Beile, Quits Active Politics in Osun, Explains Reasons

Former Chairman of Ede North LCDA Hon. Uthman Beile, has announced his decision to withdraw from active politics in Osun State, citing persistent controversies surrounding his indigene status in Ede.

Beile disclosed this in an interview with AdabanijaGlobal.com, explaining that he has decided to relocate to his hometown of Oyo Alaafin in Oyo State, where he intends to continue his political activities without being subjected to recurring allegations that he is not an indigene of Ede.

According to him, the controversy is particularly painful because he has lived in Ede and actively participated in the town’s political and community affairs for several decades.

While announcing his departure from active politics in Osun, Hon. Beile expressed profound appreciation to the political leaders and associates who supported him throughout his years of political engagement in the state.

He particularly acknowledged Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Hon. Najeem Salaam, and other political leaders for their guidance, support and contributions to his political journey.

Hon. Beile also reaffirmed his loyalty to and belief in the political ideology and progressive ideals of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, stressing that his decision to relocate does not amount to abandoning the principles and values he has always stood for.

He explained that his return to Oyo Alaafin would provide him with an opportunity to join forces with other progressive-minded politicians of ADC extraction and continue contributing to political development in an environment where his identity and roots would not continually be questioned.

Beile maintained that his decision is not borne out of bitterness but rather a desire to find a political environment where he can participate meaningfully without being repeatedly labelled an alien.

He thanked his supporters, friends, political associates and all those who stood by him during his years of political service in Osun State, assuring them that his commitment to progressive politics remains unwavering.
