2022 governorship intrigues broke the PDP in to different factions.
Osun PDP has again broken into factions.
One is a faction co headed by Alhaji Fatai Diekola, Mr Peter Babalola, Mr Tijani a.k.a Ebo Oba, Bunmi Jenyo and others. Theirs is a faction that is loyal to the Adeleke family of Ede. Their proposal is to secure the party’s endorsement of Ademola Adeleke as governorship flag bearer of the party.
The group is concerned that Soji Adagunodo didn’t support their plans. Hence,he must be removed from office as Osun PDP chairman.
To realize their ambition the Adeleke family through their cronies mentioned above have sponsored a petition against Adagunodo. He has also responded to the petition. A large majority of party members expressed their satisfactions with his explanations.

Meanwhle, party members loyal to Adagunodo have rejected the composition of the panel on the ground that it has as members two bosom friends and colleagues Senator to Ademola Adeleke.
However, the party members and Osun public have condemned in their strongest term any attempt to tamper with the current Adagunodo led EXCO of the party. It is a general opinion that this is uncalled for particularly at this time that all hand are supposed to be on deck on how a credible candidate will emerge for the party.
It is a matter of hours away from now when the panel who never communicate their arrival to the state branch of party even the party to resume their work. The outcome of their work will either make or Mar the Osun PDP. Whether Osun PDP will continue to exist depends largely on the outcome of their work.
