The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salaam (Iwaloye), has called on youths across the state to demonstrate commitment and active participation in the democratic process ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.
Rt. Hon. Salaam stated that youths remain the backbone of societal growth and political transformation, stressing that their involvement is critical to determining the future direction of Osun State. He urged young people not to be indifferent but to take ownership of the electoral process by mobilizing, voting conscientiously and safeguarding their votes.
According to the ADC candidate, meaningful youth participation goes beyond election-day activities and includes constructive political engagement, community sensitization and advocacy for accountable governance. He encouraged youths to embrace peaceful participation and resist all forms of political violence, inducement and manipulation.
Rt. Hon. Salaam further assured that an ADC-led government would be genuinely youth-driven and inclusive with deliberate policies aimed at tackling unemployment, improving access to quality education, promoting skills acquisition, supporting entrepreneurship and harnessing innovation and technology for development.
He emphasized that ADC represents a credible alternative focused on people-centered governance and fresh leadership, committed to restoring hope and confidence in public administration.
The ADC governorship candidate therefore appealed to youths across all local governments and wards in Osun State to rally behind the party and work collectively towards installing a government that reflects their aspirations and secures a better future for the state.
