The African Democratic Congress Gubernatorial Campaign Council (ADC- GCC) warmly welcomes the Inspector General of Police to Osun State. We see your visit as timely and critical ahead of the August 15th governorship election and hereby urge you to step up activities to purge the state of activities of criminal elements through proactive steps to secure our state.

Osun is a land of peace dedicated to Omoluabi values, we cannot afford to see criminal activities, political thuggery, attacks on innocent people and destruction of properties threaten the peace of our people. We therefore appeal to the Inspector General of Police to ensure that all criminal activities are subdued before, during, and after the August 15th election. We urge decisive deployment of personnel, intelligence gathering, and swift action against anyone who seeks to undermine the peace and safety of Osun communities regardless of party affiliation.

As a party, we remain fully committed to a peaceful and issue-based campaign. Our manifesto prioritize security as a major keypoint of our agenda. We give the Inspector General and the entire Police Command, our assurance of full cooperation. Our candidate,Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam, the campaign team and supporters will work with the Police, comply with all security directives and continue to mobilize our members to remain law-abiding at all times.

We believe that with firm policing, collaboration with traditional rulers, INEC, and other stakeholders, August 15th will be free, fair, credible, and peaceful. Osun people deserve to exercise their right to vote without fear and we are confident that under your leadership, the Police will deliver on that promise.

Signed;

Hon. Nurein Adebisi.
