The former Governor of Osun State and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has described the party’s governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam, as a man of exceptional competence, integrity, and character whose exemplary leadership qualities would usher in unprecedented development across Osun State.
Ogbeni Aregbesola made the remarks in Ile-Ife while addressing a large gathering of party faithful and supporters during the ADC mega rally.
He noted that governance is fundamentally about selfless service and can only be entrusted to individuals who possess the vision, competence, integrity, and leadership capacity required to deliver sustainable development and improve the lives of the people.
“The influence, prestige, and progress of any state are largely determined by the quality of its leadership. It is visionary, principled, and competent leadership that lays the foundation for good governance and sustainable development.
“There is no doubt that among all those contesting the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State, Dr. Najeem Folasayo Salaam stands out in terms of competence, humility, integrity, and character. His antecedents in public service speak for themselves, and I have absolute confidence that he will deploy his vast experience, knowledge, and leadership capacity to transform Osun State if elected governor.
“Dr. Salaam understands that governance is essentially about service to the people. His administration will be anchored on progressive ideals, transparency, accountability, competence, humility, and the fear of God. These are the values that inspire public trust and guarantee enduring development.”
Ogbeni Aregbesola further appealed to the people of Osun State to give their overwhelming support to the ADC and its governorship candidate in the forthcoming election. He expressed confidence that an ADC administration would remain committed to progressive principles and policies aimed at improving the quality of life of every citizen, irrespective of social or economic status.
