𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐛𝐢- 𝐀 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐃𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐜𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐲- 𝐀𝐃𝐂 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚 𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

I strongly condemn in totality the reported attack on Mr. Peter Obi. Violence, intimidation, and political thuggery have no place in our democracy and must be rejected by all well-meaning Nigerians.

An attack on any political figure, regardless of party affiliation, is an attack on democratic values and the constitutional rights of citizens to freely associate, campaign, and express their political choices without fear.

Nigeria’s democracy must be built on tolerance, healthy debate, and issue-based engagement, not hostility and violence. Those who seek to destabilize our political environment through acts of aggression do a grave disservice to our nation and its future.

I call on security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice. No individual or group should be allowed to undermine peace and order.

As leaders and citizens, we must rise above partisan differences and collectively protect the sanctity of our democratic process.

Nigeria must move forward in unity, peace, and mutual respect.
