Final Analysis –

NOTE: Of the 70 existing JCAs, the North with 19 States has 34 including the PCA, while the South with 17 States has 36. Out of the 36 Justices from the Southern States only Justice Abiru from Lagos State is a Muslim. The remaining 35 JCAs from the Southern States are all non-Muslims.
On the whole, only 19 of the existing 70 JCAs are Muslims. 51 are non-Muslims.
With respect to the claim that 3 Kadis of the Sharia Court of Appeal are now recommended for appointment and none from the Customary Courts of Appeal, it should be borne in mind that none of the 70 existing JCAs was appointed from the Sharia Court of Appeal. In the meantime, Justices Onyemenam and Awotoye were appointed from the Customary Court of Appeal of Ebonyi and Osun States respectively.
Therefore while there are experts in customary law currently in the Court, there are none for sharia law.
Just as only Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun state is the only governor in the entire 17 southern states of Nigeria. Only justice Habeeb Wale Abiru is also the only Muslim Judge in the entire 17 southern states in Nigeria. While there is equity and balance in the north in term of political and administrative appointment. It’s total blackout and wiping out of Muslims from the system of governance in southern part of the country.
Yet’ some egocentric parochial inconsiderate ethno cynic children of hatred, selfishness, anger, cheating will always shouting marginalisation just to eradicate Muslims from the system of governance to continue enriching church and the church goers.
