𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐇 𝐎𝐅 𝐘𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐎𝐆𝐁𝐄𝐍𝐈 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐄𝐒, 𝐅𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐒 𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐏 𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐁𝐄𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐀’𝐒 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏:

Before now, I used to tell people who care to listen that Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is a factor to reckon with in politics and his influence transcend Osun state. This my statement is never hyping but, the statement of fact base on facts and figures.

It is no longer news that Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola after so much efforts to remain in the party he jointly formed and named APC, eventually left the party for those who believe once he is schemed out of the party, he would become a political orphan.

There can never be any relationship without misunderstanding, be it politics, family or mutual but the most important thing is how you are able to manage the crisis that come up during that relationship. In politics, there is no permanent enemies or friends but, permanent interest so, as a result of that whenever any issue come up, what should be paramount to a reasonable politician is his/her interest and that of his followers.

In the case of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, he is not being pushed by personal interest or political ambition because he has never been a desperate politician but, the interest of his teaming followers, the attitude which is uncommon among typical politician.

If Ogbeni is pursuing personal interest, he wouldn’t have found himself in the situation he is currently. Before you misunderstand me, let me explain what i mean by this statement. Don’t forget Ogbeni has been two term commissioner in Lagos State plus another extra three and half years in the same Lagos State before he was swore in as governor of Osun state and also spent eight years as the first governor to successfully completed two term in the history of Osun state. He was a minister for almost four years under former president Muhammadu Buhari. This records of achievements is unprecedented in the history of Osun plus the fact that Ogbeni is a contented politician who doesn’t care about accumulation of wealth. Base on this, I hope you will all agree with me that he has reached the peak of political career and the only political position he hasn’t occupied is Presidency which i am sure Insha Allah he will get there before he pass on..

If Ogbeni were to be another politician, he would have just sit down and become a political observer like many of his contemporaries but, because of the fact that the kind of political maltreatment his supporters went through under his successor which has left many of his followers stranded politically, he take it upon himself to provide leadership for his followers banking on his popularity and acceptability in Osun and this he has being doing successfully since till date.
We are all aware of how he was pushed away from the party he laboured so hard to form and after the interventions of some notable people in the society have failed, i think the best thing is to move on with his life but, to our amazement, the same people who pushed him away from the party are the same people that always feel jittery over any of his political moves. What exactly do they want from Ogbeni? Maybe he should turn them to God Almighty and start worshipping them instead of the one that created him. Let us agree Ogbeni had wronged Asiwaju, has Asiwaju never done something wrong to Ogbeni or Asiwaju is faultless in the whole scenarios? Thank God i am a living witness of many of the things that transpired and also a victim of the power play here in Osun and I can say it anywhere that both sides are at fault while the highest percentage of the faults come from Asiwaju who failed to play the expected leadership roles during the crisis that eventually sent APC out of power.
I have seen the video being spread online now by the so called 𝐉𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 to tackle Ogbeni’s new political movement and i laughed my head off because the video has no meaning to people with discerning minds. That 𝐎𝐠𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐢 𝐑𝐚𝐮𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚 once praised Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as his leader and benefactor which he hasn’t denied till date.
In fact, I haven’t seen or come across any politician that is as loyal as 𝐎𝐠𝐛𝐞𝐧𝐢 𝐑𝐚𝐮𝐟 𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚 especially to 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐣𝐮 𝐁𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐀𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐛𝐮. He made many political enemies because of his unflinching loyalty to 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐣𝐮.
What else do they expect from him to 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐣𝐮?
Maybe he should be turned to God Almighty?
That is not possible.
