The Omoluabi Progressives under the Chairmanship of Alh. Adesiji Issa Azeez, commiserate with the family of our late friend and brother, Dr. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji, who lost his life in a not too clear circumstance, sometimes in January 2025.
Late Hon. Kongo was a man of honour and wide political contact while he was alive. He was a one-time Chairman of Ife Central Local Government under the governorship of Chief Bisi Akande during the Alliance for Democracy (AD) era. He was a member of the O’School Board under Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s tenure as well as the Director General, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti ‘SHEU’ Gubernatorial Campaign Committee 2018 and until the time of his death, he was the Director of Administration of the All Progressives Congress APC National Secretariat. He was a man of capacity and means, yet we lost him to the cold hands of death due to the unchecked spate of insecurity that has turned Nigeria into a State of Anomie!
Despite our political differences in the latter part of his life, Ẹ̀gbọ́n Kunle was a good person who had the aura of Omoluabi all over him.
We mourn with the immediate family and the good people of Ile-Ife, where the late political juggernaut served meritoriously in his lifetime.
We also urge security operatives in the country to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that they apprehend those who took the life of our brother and bring them to book. We equally urge the Federal Government to do more to curb this insecurity that is fast becoming insurmountable.
May Allah SWT accept his return and grant him Aljanat Fridaus.
