President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is actively managing Nigeria’s affairs from Europe, where he is temporarily based, the Presidency announced Thursday.
According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu’s absence is part of a planned two-week trip. The President, who traveled from Paris to London over the weekend, is expected to return to Abuja following the Easter holiday.
In a statement, Onanuga emphasized that Tinubu remains in constant communication with key government officials, issuing directives, including to security chiefs, to tackle emerging threats across the country. “The President’s commitment to his duties is unwavering, and governance continues without interruption,” the statement read.
