Osun state governor senator Ademola Adeleke has stopped the school feedings program in Osun state. Our findings revealed the development can not be dissociated from the current economic situation of Nigeria.
It would be recalled that the past government of Osun led by immediate past minister of interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola introduced the school feedings program in all public schools across the state, the program which was later copied by the federal government.
This program was also continued by his successor in Office Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola with slight modifications in the modu opprandi.
The present administration of senator Ademola Adeleke has also continued the program until recently when he stopped it.
As at the time of filling this report,it is not yet known the reason behind this decision of the government of Osun.
Governor Ademola Adeleke in recent interview with newsmen in Osogbo, Osun state capital promised to continue any program of the past administration which may be considered as masses oriented among which is school feedings program which has increased the numbers of enrolment in the public schools since introduction in 2011.
