The Osun State Chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) welcomes yesterday’s court decision rejecting the suit filed by the partyโ€™s former presidential candidate, Dumebi Kachikwu.

The ruling further affirms the legitimacy of the current leadership of the party, Senator David Mark and OGBENI as recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), thereby strengthening confidence in the partyโ€™s structure and leadership.

We consider this development a victory for the wish of the people; internal democracy, party stability, and the rule of law. The courtโ€™s decision to decline the motion seeking to challenge the partyโ€™s leadership reinforces the principle that political disagreements must be resolved through lawful and democratic processes.

In light of this positive development, the Osun ADC calls on the good people of Osun State to rally behind the party and its governorship candidate, Dr. Folasayo Najeem Salaam, IWALOYE, by voting massively for him in the forthcoming election. We are confident that his leadership will provide the much-needed opportunity to turn around the fortunes of Osun State for the good of all citizens and usher in a new era of responsible and people-centred governance.

The Osun ADC therefore urges members, supporters, and the good people of Osun State to remain committed to the ideals of the party as we continue to build a credible political alternative that prioritises the welfare, progress, and prosperity of the people.

Signed:

Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun
