The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has taken a significant step in strengthening its democratic foundations with the inauguration of its Constitution Review Committee on January 8, 2026.
Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of ADC, Senator David A. B. Mark, GCON, emphasized that the review process is aimed at reinforcing internal democracy, inclusiveness, accountability, and effective party governance.
According to him, the exercise is not about changing the partyโs principles but about strengthening them to reflect present realities, anticipate future challenges, and align with global best practices.
Mandate of the Committee includes:

โช๏ธ Strengthening internal democracy and party structures
โช๏ธ Ensuring fairness in party primaries, discipline, and dispute resolution
โช๏ธ Promoting women and youth participation
โช๏ธ Ensuring full compliance with Nigeriaโs electoral laws
