𝗢𝗺𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗶 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗢𝗴𝗯𝗲𝗻𝗶 𝗥𝗮𝘂𝗳 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗯𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮’𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 (𝗔𝗗𝗖)

Alhaji Issa Adesiji Azeez, Chairman of the Omoluabi Progressives, and the good people of Osun State and beyond, extend their warm congratulations to the former Governor of Osun State, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, on his ratification as the National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) by the NEC yesterday in Abuja.

This elevation is not only a recognition of his enduring political relevance but also a clear rejection of the unfounded narratives pushed by detractors. These naysayers once boasted that Ogbeni would not set foot in Osun State within six months, parading a symbolic coffin in Lagos and dismissing his influence. Time has proven them wrong, as all their efforts to diminish his stature have failed resoundingly.

Today, the coalition they once mocked stands tall—as steadfast as the Rock of Gibraltar. What they prematurely pronounced dead at birth has grown into a formidable movement. The ADC now represents a party that champions collective leadership, grassroots mobilization, and a new model of political coexistence that many doubted was achievable in Nigeria’s current climate.

We once again, congratulate OGBENI on becoming the substantive National Secretary of our great party, the ADC. His confirmation signals a renewed era of purposeful leadership.

At this critical juncture, we call on all Nigerians to get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ready. The current Federal Government continues to operate without a human face, and its policies are plunging our nation further into hardship. The time has come to vote for empathy, vision, and genuine progress.

We urge all our members and supporters to remain peaceful and avoid engaging in campaigns of calumny or violence—the unfortunate trademarks of the current administration. Instead, let us keep reminding Nigerians that our past was better than our present, and without urgent change, the future may worsen. It is time to rescue the children of the downtrodden and begin to close the growing gap between the rich and the poor.

The ADC remains open to all progressive Nigerians who wish to join hands in building a just and equitable nation. A new Nigeria is not just a dream—it is within reach.
