The Olu of Epe Kingdom, Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, has passed away at the age of 86. According to reports, the monarch died in the early hours of Saturday, May 31, 2025, and will be laid to rest today in accordance with Islamic rites ยน.
Oba Adewale had a distinguished career before ascending to the throne, serving as Otun-Balogun, the third-highest chieftaincy title, and later as Balogun. He was also a retired Director of Administration in the Ministry of Education and had served as Executive Secretary at the Ministry of Lands.
High Chief Odedeogboro Balogun of Epe Kingdom, Musiliu Adeniyi, confirmed the king’s passing to Aladalu TV, stating that the burial will take place at 4 pm today.
