Nigerian actor, Lanre Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has confirmed that he is still in prison custody, contrary to viral rumors of his release.
In an exclusive interview with Alaroye TV online, Baba Ijesha expressed gratitude to his fans worldwide for their unwavering support. He acknowledged their desire to see him overcome his current challenges, but emphasized the importance of honesty, stating, “I’m still in prison, but I believe I will be free soon by God’s grace.”
Regarding a viral video featuring himself and the Ooni of Ife, Baba Ijesha clarified that it was an old recording made before his incarceration.
When asked about his most painful experience while in prison, Baba Ijesha shared the heartbreaking moment when he lost his father. Due to his confinement, he was unable to pay his last respects, which he described as an extremely painful experience.
Baba Ijesha appealed to his fans and well-wishers to remember him in their prayers, thanking them for their condolences and support.
