Why We are yet to talk about 2023…. Olateju

The National Coordinator of Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation, Adunni Olateju Ishola, has revealed that the group will not talk on the 2023 presidential election until there is a green light to do so.

Olateju, while speaking with journalists in Abuja recently, said, the group is the number one political group of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and any statement from the group carries a lot of weight and can change the political atmosphere of the country.

He stated that, “every member of APC most especially, political children of the APC national leader, must work towards the success of this administration, because he is at the centre stage of how it comes to power, and discussing the next election a year into the second term of the administration will affect the workings of the government.

“Nevertheless, whenever our leader and principal blows the whistle, we are ready to hit the ground running. We have the machineries across the nation and our structure is intact in all the 36 states of the Federation, including the FCT.

“What is paramount to our leader now is to see APC delivering the dividends of democracy to the citizens of Nigeria according to our party promises to them during the elections and he has on several occasions reiterated his support to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari”.

While speaking on different groups canvassing for Tinubu presidential ambition in 2023, he said, “there is no crime in that. They have the right to make their opinion known, but it must be done within the ambit of the law.”
