Update from election petition tribunal Abuja on Osun governorship election dispute.

At today tribunal proceeding in Abuja the PDP were able to called 10 witnesses namely (1) Ojo Mattew from Ipetumodu Ife North local government area of the state of Osun, a photographer by profession who admitted he voted on that very day and votes were counted and results announced in the presence of every party agents.

Witness number 2 is Mrs Alo Fadeke Victoria from Ilesha who impersonated another man with name Ilesanmi Samson Taiwo whose name was originally written on the witness paper, though she was also allowed to give her testimony about how election went on the day of election which she also admitted went on smoothly except where there was altercation of result according to her but which when pressed further she could not proof it before the tribunal that indeed the result was actually altered.

The witness number 3 is Oyedokun Wasiu Oyeyode from Debulebu junction in Ejigbo local government who admitted he have about three to four signatories before the tribunal and was unable to proof over voting and altercation of result as alleged in his disposition before the tribunal.

Witness number 4 is Mr Opadokun Rokeeb Ademola from Iwo local government Unit 8 ward 10 Molete area in Iwo who also admitted that he wasn’t the original PDP party agent for the election but he stood in for his brother who he claimed fell sick on the day of the election.

Witness number 5 is Shehu Muftau Alani also from Iwo local government, he also admitted that he was not the original PDP party agent for the election but stood in for another person so his name was not the one written on the witness paper but was also allowed to give his testimony on that disputed election where he also testified that election went on smoothly and the result was announced immediately at the polling centre and he was given the copy of the result after counted and signed by all party agents.

Witness number 6 is Mr Taiwo Abiola Kazeem from Orogba area Ilesha who also testified that election went on smoothly and that he voted and result was announced in the presence of everybody and he was given the copy of result after it was announced.

Witness number 7 is Mr Omotayo Shittu Abdulahi from Osogbo who also gave his testimony about the election and also admitted he voted on election day and the votes were counted and the copy of the result was given to him as the PDP party agent after duly signed by all party agents.

Witness number 8 is Mr Adebowale Lukman from Gbongan who also gave his testimony that election went on smoothly and he voted as well on election day but he also insisted that result of the election were doctored to Favour APC even though he could not proof this before the tribunal as the result sheet given to him tallied with what was written on form EC8A.

Witness number 9 is Mrs Adesoye Selimot from Akindeko area Osogbo whose name too was not the name written on the witness statement but was allowed to give witness by the tribunal, she could not proof the allegation of over voting as well as it was alleged in the disposition.

The last witness for the day is from Egbedore local government ward 9 Ilu Aro in Ojo/Aro ward, his name is Mr Oyedele Waliyu Ayinla who claimed the election results were manipulated and altered but also could not proof it before the honorable tribunal.

The proceedings witnesses a lot of dramas as the PDP party agents who also doubled as witnesses kept repeating the same grammar during the cross examination by the APC lawyers, the grammar like “Had been doctored” had been altered” had been manipulated” “There is over voting” was the only song they both continue repeating all the time even when the question put to them has nothing to do with such grammar they continually repeating it as if it was programmed on their head.
The hearing continue tomorrow.
