Tinubu And Aregbsola, Grand Mufti Makes A Move For Reconciliation, Meets Southern And Northern Clerics.
As 2023 presidential election draws nearer amidst conflict and disputes among different political gladiators in Yorubaland, which if left unresolved, it might hinder the emergence of Yoruba as president, the Grand Mufti of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Sheikh Daood Imran Molaasan has begun making a move to ensure the matters are resolved and put to rest.
During the week, the Grand Mufti was on tour in Abuja over the issue. Likewise, he had contacted some Muslim scholars and clerics in the north which would also involve the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar.
Today in Ibadan, Oyo state capital the Grand Mufti also held a meeting with Sheikh Tajudeen Abdul Kareem Al-Adaby, popularly known as Baba Lagbeni, the founder of Khayrul Adaby Arabic and Islamic Institute, Apete on how to put lasting solution to lingering issue between Aregbsola and Tinubu to save the face of Yoruba Muslims. “We cannot go into presidential election in a divided house” said, the Grand Mufti.
