NASS Media Aides Suspends chairman over alleged financial misappropriation,others

The Leadership of the National Assembly Progressive Media Aides (NAPMAIDES) Forum has announced the suspension of it’s Acting Chairman Mr. Oyelude Oladede over alleged financial misappropriation, abuse of power, disregard to association’s constitution among others.

The group’s leadership in a press statement issued on Thursday to news men also accused Mr . Oyelude for gross misconduct, abuse of Office among others.

The forum’s leadership, which consists of the leaders from the six geo-political zones of the country made the resolution during its leadership meeting held on Thursday at the Senate new building of the National assembly ,which had in attendance Mr. Oyelude and other Zonal leaders.

NAPMAIDES, a group in the national assembly, is the media Aides Forum for all Legislators elected under the platform of the All Progressive’s Congress (APC).

Prior to his suspension, the members of the Leadership presented to Mr. Oyelude allegations of financial misappropriation which included using the name of the group to secure financial gratifications from APC Senators and Members of the House of Representatives, APC leaders amongst others.

Following the allegations a motion was moved ans was subsequently seconded by the leadership to set up an investigative 3 Man committee to look into the allegations leveled against the Acting Chairman and report back within 4 weeks.

The statement read;

“The Leadership of the National Assembly Progressive Media Aides Forum has approved the suspension of its Acting Chairman, Mr. Oyelude Oladede over alleged financial misappropriation, abuse of power, disregard to association’s constitution among others.

“The leadership in its meeting held today 3 March, 2022 resolved that the suspension takes immediate effect.

“In the same vein, the leadership has also set up an investigative 3 Man committee to look into the allegations leveled against the Acting Chairman and report back within 4 weeks. In addition, the committee will oversee the activities of the association.

Members of the Committee are: Iriekpen Bright O Chairman ,Malakai Ahmed A. Member ,Bashir Suwaid Secretary

Mr. Prince’s suspension was subsequently ratified by the following zonal leaders who were on attendance at the meeting include;SOUTH SOUTH LEADERSHIP :Iriekpen Bright O.

Esther Kune Hillary ;SOUTH EAST LEADERSHIP:Kenneth Udeh ,Emmanuel Junior;SOUTH WEST LEADERSHIP: Olusada Olamilekan ,Oluniyi Hisamotu; NORTH EAST LEADERSHIP:Umar Abdullahi Kafi,Abba Audu,Adamu Ibrahim Jimeta ;NORTH WEST LEADERSHIP:Bashir Suwaid,Engr. Bashir Ibrahim Ali;NORTH CENTRAL LEADERSHIP :Malakai Ahmed Abdul,Olaitan Adeyanju

Also notified of his suspension were ; the Senate President , Ahmed Lawan; Speaker House of Representatives , Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila,All Progressive’s Congress Senators and Members of House of Representatives and the sergeant at Arms of the National assembly.
