MY ROLES IN OSUN APC INTERNAL WRANGLINGS BEFORE I BACKS OUT OF PEACE PROCESS, This is my story and Observations👇
According to Yoruba’s adage, Bí Inán kòbá l’áwo, kòlèjó g’òkè Odò.
Sometimes around June 2019 less than a year that Ògbéni Rauf Aregbesola handed over power to his successor Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola, it all started like a rumour that, things are not going on well between the two leaders just like what I can describe as predetermined crisis. I called it predetermined because, if what was rumoured caused the crisis then is anything to go by, definitely it has been predetermined and masterminded long time before the swearing in of governor Adegboyega Oyetola as successor to Rauf Aregbesola and the reason for this is not far fetched, it is usual practice everywhere that a predecessor should have says in the government of his successor no matter how little it will be most especially if both belong to the same politícal party.

So, base on this, this is the genesis of the crisis and why I called it needless crisis and controversy? How can a successor deny his predecessor says in the government of continuity? This is one fact of the matter which some people hypocritically defending with flimsy excuses that Aregbesola had done his own and should not interfere with government of Oyetola, how reasonable is this submission for crying out loud?

Here is the genesis of Osun APC crisis before it continuing degenerate more everyday by day through the contributions of both camps fueling it, but the most unreasonable and stupid ones are the one from governor’s side calling Aregbesola names without anybody calling them to order. Is there anyone who dare say those words to Asiwaju in Lagos among the cabinet members of his successor?

This predetermined as I put it, which later cleared to every doubting Thomases, when the time for nomination of ministers commenced nationwide as directed by president Muhammadu Buhari where every governor of the state across the country were asked to bring the names of three nominees from their respective states. One would have expected that governor Gboyega Oyetola will forward the name of his predecessor or included his name among the three nominees from Osun, but alas, the reverse was the case as Ògbéni name got missing on the list until Mr President himself requested for RAUF.

If you are doubting or not agree with my used of words at the begining of this Epistles that it was predetermined aunslaught against Rauf, I think at this juncture, the doubt should have been removed from your mind.

One would now be wondering why someone who served under a particular person for eight years could suddenly changed and the relationship turned sour.
I could remember vividly that in my own little ways, I made some moves at a stage to intervene and I visited our party Chairman Prince Gboyega Famodun and also went a step further to Aragbiji of Iragbiji, this in company of my dear brother, President, World Institute for Peace, comrade Lamina Kamiludeen Omotoyosi to beg the Royal father to use his influence to intervene in the matter before it is late, this report is for another day. Thank God I didn’t go there alone.

Finally and conclusively, my observation is that it is not governor Oyetola that is fighting Rauf Aregbesola, but the Apex leader, and this too is no longer hidden to every sincere followers of events from Lagos to Osun, but what may have been Rauf offence is what I can not understand, because when we talk of loyalty, Rauf is the number one loyalist of Jagaban throughout Nigeria here and even beyond, but some analysts say it is all about 2023 presidential contest which up till now Rauf Aregbesola has never signify intention and if he does, he has not done anything wrong in that regard because the seat is not exclusive reserve for a particular person.

That is another bitter truth people don’t want to hear at all.

This was why all efforts that have been made so far have not been successful and fruitful.

Ìròmi t’ónjó
Onílù tí nlù fun m’be ní’sàlè Odò.
