OSHIOMOLE’S SUSPENSION: KAROUNWI OLADAPO EXONERATES FAYEMI
The All Progressives Congress APC, South West Zonal Publicity Secretary, Asiwaju Karounwi Oladapo says, Governor Kayode Fayemi has no connection with the controversy over the purported suspension of the National Chairman of the Party, Comrade Adams Oshiomole.
Speaking to Journalists in Osogbo, Asiwaju Karounwi said such rumour linking the Ekiti Governor with the court matter was unfounded and an attempt to blackmail the Governor in the name of politics.
The APC Zonal Publicity Secretary wondered how the leadership of Comrade Oshiomole which Doctor Fayemi played a significant role to install constituted any threat whatsoever to the interest of the Governor, or the state he currently presides over.
He explained that the two leaders had been Comrades in the struggle for the enthronement of democracy and civil Rights in Nigeria way back that no petty issue of politics could put them at such conflicting distance.
Asiwaju Karounwi noted that wherever the rumour originated from was mere politics taken too far or to keep some people busy and achieve underfined aim.
He said disagreement in the APC was a reflection that the party was a human association like just any other, adding such would also be put behind within a short time.
On the concession of the post of the Deputy National Chairman ,South of the party to Oyo state, Asiwaju Karounwi hinted that Ekiti leadership of the party had already protested the injustice at the appropriate quarters of the party.
