The Executive Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has rejoiced with a former Speaker of the osun state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salam, on the auspicious occasion of his birthday, hailing him as a man of courage and unbending conviction in the progress of Osun state.
The Governor who lauded Rt. Hon Salam as a champion of pro-people ideology in governance, noted in a congratulatory message signed by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, that the Ejigbo-born politician remains a hallmark of responsible leadership.
Governor Adeleke saluted Rt. Hon. Salam’s sense of purpose in governance, which explains his impressive records in all public positions he has held, adding that the former Speaker style of politics engenders unity and progress.
“What I cherish so much about Rt. Hon. Najeem Folasayo Salam is that the people always come first ahead of any other consideration. This is why he is well loved across political lines, because what always motivates him is the general goods of the people and nothing more,” the statement noted.
Governor Adeleke acknowledged Rt. Hon. Salam’s incredible service to the state as the Speaker, which saw the introduction of quality and important legislations that targeted the benefits of the people, saying that he’s always impressed by the dedication and commitment of the former Speaker in adding values to the lives of people in the line of his work.
“As Speaker, you upheld the value of the institution, and ensured that the House stands out by delivering its core responsibility to the people. On this occasion of your birthday, I honour the depth of your service, just as I like to appreciate your sincere interest in the progress of this state,” he said.
The Governor prayed for God’s continued grace over him as he ages on, while impressing on him to sustain contributions to the progress of Osun state in whatever capacity he found himself now or in the future.
