Famodun cautions on party data forms, says, they have nothing to do with congress

Following needless uproar attached to mere filling of data forms requested for by the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, Osun State Chairman of the party, Prince Gboyega Famodun, has reiterated his statement that the exercise has nothing to do with the party’s congress.

Famodun in a statement issued by his Media Consultant, Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo, the state capital today, noted that he was surprised that despite the fact that he had explained to the party’s stakeholders at various meetings the purpose for which the data forms were meant, some doubting Thomases are still going about disseminating falsehood about the issue.
The party chairman stated further that some disgruntled elements in the party were saying it was a congress in disguise which is far from being correct.
He said, he could not fathom where this set of the party unbelievers are sourcing their absolute falsehood from if a simple information from the national headquarters of the party could not be treated as directed.
In Famodun’s words: “I am sick and tired with the needless level of falsehood attached to the filling of the data forms of state executives, senatorial executives, local government executives and ward executives across the state as demanded by our national headquarters.
“For God sake, the exercise has nothing to do with the congress in our state as the directive to submit the data forms was issued to all the state chapters of our party across the nation.

“There is a lawful laid down rule for the congress of our party as it’s not an exercise that can be done under the table. It will involve all the members of the party where it is compulsory for invitation of officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for due observation.
“I am resorting to issuing of this statement as series of complaints have got to me from various local government chapters and wards of our party in the state where falsehood about the purpose of the data is thriving.

“Once again, I am pleading with all the APC stakeholders in the state to stick to the purpose of the data forms as I had earlier explained to them at our meetings that it has nothing to do with the party’s congress but merely requested for to update information of the party executives at various levels of the party across the nation”, the party chairman explained.
Famodun disclosed that he is almost faced with needless extinction of saliva from his mouth as a result of ceaseless explanations concerning the issue from across the state.
He counselled further that the mere filling of the data forms should not be allowed to engender avoidable furore by those entrusted with its prompt implementation without further delay.
