Egbedore Youths Reject Factions Amid The Upcoming Local Government Election.

*Egbedore Youths Reject Factions Amid The Upcoming Local Government Election.*

Youths in Egbedore have called on Mr. Governor, the Party Chairman, the Igbimo Agba Osun, and other stakeholders within the Party to disqualify glorified aspirants by any of the factions from Egbedore Local Government.

APC in Egbedore consists of two factions; Baba Gbadebo Ajao- Omolaoye faction and SSG, Wole Oyebamiji- Abiodun Awolola-Babatunde John Ibirogba Eleniyan faction. These two factions have continued to create disunity among members of the Party because of their selfish interests and pecuniary gains.

The two factions continue to fight for their interests while neglecting the interest of the youths and the party as a whole. The youths are using this opportunity to call for equity; leaders are expected to represent our collective interest, not personal or sectional interest. Unfortunately, Leaders in Egbedore chose to represent the interest of their factions rather than Party interest, this, invariably makes them sectional leaders.

From the Party Chairmanship position, House of Assembly, Board Appointments, and now Local Government Council Chairmanship position on the table, the two factions have continued their show of shame and disunity tendencies which are contributory factors to why the Local Government lost the last Gubernatorial poll to the opposition Party.

We are calling on relevant authorities to disqualify any aspirant linked to both factions and chose from the aspirants that do not belong to both faction or allow every aspirants to prove their popularity on the field by conducting a Direct Primary.
